William C.'s Story
Worked for GMC Truck for 28 years and retired in 1998. Then Caterpillar for 2 1/2 years and Home Remodeling until last year, 2009. Left GM after 1st 3 years and worked as a systems analyst and Commercial Real Estate Broker and Investor in Boulder, Co. While in Boulder I married Pat who had 3 children ,age then,9, 11 and 12 and then we had 1 more (boy) in 1973. Owned a security business and detective agency for 3 years and sold it to go back to GM.( Life was getting too complicated). They transferring me to Michigan and then Tampa Florida where I retired and I love it here.
Pat died in 2002 and I remarried to Anne, a nurse practitioner, in 2007. She had 3 children ages -now 40, 38 and 17 so i am raising a teenager again at 67 years old. Now, 7 kids and 6 grandkids. It keeps you young.
Anne and I have been teaching Sunday School for the last 5 years and traveling a lot while she still works. We are taking a family trip to Mexico Aug 4...Expand for more
-14 (San Miguel de Allende) where all 4 of my daughters will be together for the first time ever including my 2 Nebraska grandkids. My daughter Kelly has been living in Mexico for 9 years.
Lately I have been doing work for free for those that cannot afford it (Home improv. and repair) and enjoy raising a family again.
I have a brother, Jason, in Vermont(the Archetict) and a sister Lisa, in Denver (the developer and artist) who we visit along with kids in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Winter Park, CO and Birmingham, Alabama. We like to spread em' out and cover the country.
Looking forward to meeting all you folks at the reunion in 2011, who got older than I remember ,while I (in my Mind) remain 18 years old. Funny how that works at a High School reunion. Didn't Dave Barry write a book about that concerning "the old HS reunion"? If he didn't he should--I'd like to read it before I get there for the 50th!
Honk(--the -class- of sixty- one).
